ACSEP Women in Sport and Exercise Medicine Advisory Group

The Women in SEM Advisory Group is a leading voice within the college that seeks to identify and provide direction on areas where existing systems, policies, social and cultural constructs discriminate against or disproportionately impact women at all levels of Sport and Exercise Medicine. 

The key functions of the Group are: 

  • Inspire and support women to;
    - Explore a career in Sport and Exercise Medicine
    - Realise their potential in what is a diverse and flexible career option
    - Empower women to thrive in their roles as leaders and increase representation in leadership positions 
    - Engage with colleagues through mentorship, sponsorship and networking opportunities
     
  • Conceiving and delivering projects, such as education events and the Life Healthcare Women in Sport and Exercise Medicine Leadership Scholarship.

Members are drawn from the college membership, aiming to reflect the diversity of ACSEP members.
