The ACSEP Specialist Training Program is the only accredited pathway to becoming a Sport and Exercise Physician in Australasia. Designed for medical doctors, the program combines hands-on clinical experience, academic learning and leadership development across three progressive stages. Registrars train primarily in private practice settings under the supervision of experienced Fellows, while gaining exposure to team care, event coverage, research, and more. This competency-based program equips Registrars with the skills to manage a broad range of patients, from elite athletes to those with chronic conditions, using exercise as a core element of treatment and prevention.
ACSEP offers a range of membership categories to support medical professionals at every stage of their Sport and Exercise Medicine journey. From students and registrars in training, to Fellows, international medical graduates, and those in retirement, each membership provides tailored access to professional development, events, educational resources, and community engagement. Whether you're pursuing Fellowship, maintaining CPD requirements, or simply staying connected to the field, there's a membership to suit your professional needs.
