ACSEP Golf Day

The ACSEP Golf Day will be held at Millbrook Golf Club

Home to the New Zealand Open, Millbrooke's 27 hole world-class golf course is set in a natural alpine amphitheatre against the backdrop of the Remarkables Mountain Range.

Designed by renowned professional and master golfer Sir Bob Charles, and renovated by Greg Turner in October 2010 with the addition of the Coronet Nine. The course is brilliantly conceived and shaped from the rugged mountain landscape.

Registration for the ACSEP Golf Day can be made during the conference registration process. The bus will depart for Millbrook GC from the conference venue at 06:30am. Further details will be provided to all golfers. Please note carts not included in price.

Mountain Bike Ride

Queenstown is well known for its mountain biking trails. Delegates are invited to take on the MTB trails as part of a morning guided mountain bike tour. For those interested in learning more, tick mountain biking as part of the conference registration process.

Adrenaline rush

Queenstown is home to a number of action packed activity options, including bungee, jet boating, helicopter rides, rafting, quad biking and the list goes on. For a full list explore things to do in Queenstown. Our friends at Happy Tours can assist with any bookings at the best rates, or visit Skyline Queenstown to learn more about the famous gondola experience.

Hydro attack

One of Queenstown's most unique adrenaline rush activities is the Hydro Attack reaching speeds of 80kph on the water and 40kph diving under the water.

Hiking

Queenstown offers scenic walking tracks accommodating novice to advanced hikers. Our picks are Queenstown Hill or Bob's Peak, both offering stunning views with a roughly 3 hour return trip. Both trails begin just a short 10-15 minute walk from the town centre.

Road Cycling

Queenstown offers undulating hills for the road cyclists. Quality bikes and gear can be hired from Outside Sports located in the main town centre of Queenstown.

Disc/Frisbee Golf

Disc golf has been played in and around the Wakatipu for decades, most notably in the Queenstown Gardens established by Disc Golf Queenstown. The course in the Gardens was the first permanently marked out course in New Zealand. Starting out with 17 object targets and one lone basket back in 1996, it has grown over the years and has now become a full 18 basket tournament course. The course traverses anti-clockwise around the well established Queenstown Gardens. All targets are chain baskets. About half the holes are in the more open areas, with mowed grass underfoot, and the other half are in a pine forest, where the ceiling is low. It is a relatively short course, at 1220 metres. There are four par 4 holes, with two of these being over 100 metres. Two holes have compulsories and two others are blind, requiring spotters before driving. Delegates may wish to view the official disc golf rules. Overall the course favours right handers. It is free to play on the course in the Gardens, which is located a 15 minute walk from the conference venue.
